In a nutshell, this is what is wrong with the judicial system. How could whichever side that loses ever think they could get a fair hearing

I lived the first 29 years of my life in Wisconsin and most of my relatives are still there, so I still follow politics in that state. The liberal Crawford will win fairly easily because a high percentage of Trump voters won't show up. They vote only when the leader of the cult of personality - Trump - is on the ballot. And even when Trump is on the ballot, a significant number of Trump voters vote only for him and skip the other races on the ballot. As with all politicians, Trump's voters are a coalition that includes people who personally loathe him and people who have a deep emotional investment in him. But most of the Trump cultists are low-information and don't much understand how our system of government works, and a Supreme Court race is above their knowledge level. I know this analysis sounds arrogant, but unfortunately for conservatives it's the truth, and all professional political operatives know it.

The analysis doesn't just sound arrogant, it is arrogant. Reasonable people can have vastly different political views, but only during Trump terms, have certain groups felt comfortable, blatantly deeming themselves politically omnipotent.

The displays of pomposity were once surprising. Now they are simply comical. A lot of "educated" people, of a supposedly vastly superior intellect, have a hard time googling a

synonym for "cult", evidently.

Most Americans understand, people can have legitimate, differing political priorities. For those unable to tolerate dissent by their lesser "low information" fellow citizens, perhaps a change of address, to North Korea or Russia, where opposing political thought, is less encountered and less irritating.

"...but only during Trump terms, have certain groups felt comfortable, blatantly deeming themselves politically omnipotent."

That's actually not true. Liberal activists, academics, journalists, and politicians have described their political opponents as dumbells since at least the days of Adlai Stevenson in the 1950s. Some people on the Right do the same thing, but that mindset is far more common on the Left.

When did H.L. Mencken say - "On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright Moron."

I googled cult as you suggested and here are some alternatives to cult - band · church · clan · clique · sect.

Schimel knows that Elon Musk is a loser politically and is trying to distance his campaign from Musk's toxicity as fast as he can. It may be too little, too late.

Demonize someone could lead to violence.....oh wait, Dems are ok with that.

When Musk goes into his demon-mode he is a danger to those around him. He is reckless and unaccountable. As long as Trump allows him to wreck havoc with his DOGE-boys he will be a get-out-the-vote magnet that will cause Republicans grief.

He is not unaccountable. And he's definitely not a DANGER to anyone. If you watched the interview last week you would know how ridiculous you sound. These DOGE-"boys" are grown, successful men. Calling them 'boys' just shows that you are 100% uninformed.

And it sounds like you are OK with violence.

MG - Are you okay with the January 6 violence and the pardoning of thugs who beat up police officers? Stop pretending you know what other people are okay with. How old are you?

Of course I'm not ok with J6. I'm consistent and not a hypocrite.

Whataboutism. Gott love it.

Why don't you go key a Tesla? You know, to "resist"?
