Biden was never really a moderate. He is, at heart, a McGovern Democrat. More importantly, Biden is a bully. Think Biff from "Back to the Future." When he's not in power, he's obsequious, always getting in front of where the Party is moving. But give him money and power, he will use it to the hilt. The best example isn't domestic policy but the withdrawal from Afghanistan. As Vice President, Biden always advocated withdrawal, but President Obama disagreed. Once Biden became President, he was going to withdraw, no matter the cost. If you look at the history of his approval ratings, the cost was his Presidency.

I rest my case. If you can watch the debacle where troops lost their lives, where Biden murdered a family of 10 (w/7 kids), where Allies were left on the ground, and where billions of dollars in equipment was handed to the enemy —

and insist on circling back “but Trump” — then I don’t know what to say to you.

Did withdrawal and signing a deal with the Taliban hurt Trump?

Reflexively, as sure as the sun rises every day, someone will deflect to Trump when the subject is Biden's incompetency. The Afghanistan withdrawal was an epic failure, 13 of our soldiers lost their lives, and yet no one lost their job. Biden was 'proud' of the way it went down. To this day he won't admit to what everyone in America saw with their own eyes.

Wait, aren't we supposed to be 'stopping the forever wars'?

I was convinced that the latter was just a talking point and it's becoming ever more clear that is very much is.

So let me get this straight--Biden is a disgrace for withdrawing from Afghanistan, but also a disgrace by sending aid to our allies, and the organization that helped us build the modern West? That has kept a WWIII from breaking out for almost a century? And Trump is going to MAGA by abandoning said organization?

Methinks you have fallen a bit too far down the rabbit hole, dear colleague.

I gather you are a Trump fan and are just concerned with the withdrawal itself and blame Trump for the act on our troops and not with the deal the previous year. To be clear, though, you Trump people are ok with signing a deal with the Taliban for the U.S. to withdraw actually earlier that Biden did.
