If it's Biden vs Trump, I will 100% vote for Biden without hesitation, but there's no question in my mind the best choice is for Biden to drop out and for Democrats to have a couple months of chaos and uncertainty before the convention. I think your average swing/undecided voter to prefer a little existential crisis from the Democrats instead of unquestionably sticking with a guy they don't like.
I'm also slightly depressed thinking that the Dem establishment won't go this route for multiple reasons. The biggest reason is that most Dems would rather lose in November and not risk their careers than make the right choice. And I think that many Dem politicians and future candidates recognize that it's a lot easier to win in 2025-27 with Trump as president than Biden.
I agree with Mr. Baharaeen's column. With no change, it looks like lemmings over the cliff or deer in the headlights. The process of finding a replacement would perhaps be chaotic but would also spark interest and excitement, it seems to me. And at least the possibility of victory.
Good news, though! Not even a slight hint of a cold today at the rally. I don't think they have a choice. He has to stay. And, that's what happens when you base your decisions on race and sex rather than merit.
I think this debate took place because influential Democrats came to Joe Biden a couple of months ago and said, "Joe, we don't think you are up to a second term. If you want us to back you, you will need to show the American people that you have the wherewithal to stand up to Trump, defend your record, and demonstrate your fitness to serve four more years." Biden gambled that he would meet that challenge handily (I am sure he had supreme confidence in his abilities). He lost.
I'm voting for Kennedy. In my nearly 50 years of voting for presidents, I don't think I've ever seen a candidate with such command of content across so many areas. He's a leader. Watch The Real Debate if you haven't already. Don't be like the Ds and Rs. Please admit that there is a viable Independent party candidate who could lead the country with grace. Go RFKjr.
We are living with a regency presidency. Someday the books will be written to explain who was really running the show. Most likely, a combination of Susan Smith, Jake Sullivan, the Chief of Staff, and Dr. Jill. I think the plan was for Joe to survive until Inauguration Day and for the legal system to restrain DJT. Then JRB could retire and pass the baton to KH. Wouldn't surprise me if Obama and a few others sketched this out a few years ago. The Dems don't want to retire JRB because if they picked someone electable, that person will be far more centrist for their tastes. If they picked someone acceptable to the "Brahmin left", DJT will crush them.

It appears that it’s going to be a real struggle to get the DNC to yield. Kamala Harris’s interview with Anderson Cooper last night was shameful.

I think I will write in Nikki Haley for president.

If there ever was a 'liberal patriot', RFKjr is certainly that.

Biden withdraws and the DNC selects the nominee? Some democracy.
